Forensic IT is looking for Competent Individuals interested in helping us change the support and IT industry. We are looking to hire people that are passionate about their work, always willing to learn, and self-motivated.



Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with IT staffs, maintenance departments, SME(Subject Matter Experts)
      and vendors to resolve issues
  • Focus on root cause analysis and minimizing production downtime.
  • Provide on-call, 24 hour support (approximately 1 week/month)
  • Provide design groups/ vendors/ developers with detailed and
      accurate descriptions of problem/ resolution so that those groups
      are able to incorporate solutions into their product design/ application.
  • Provide frequent updates to customers on status of issues and document
      recovery procedures where applicable. Mentor customers in these procedures
      to increase their understanding of these systems.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
      preferred but not a requirement
  • Technical level knowledge with:
    • Relational databases (Oracle, sybase), stored procedures and replication servers
    • Operating Systems
    • Process Control Software (Rockwell, Intellution, FactoryLink)
    • Networking - TCP/IP
  • Analytical troubleshooting and diagnostic tools such as Perfmon, Procmon,
      and Wireshark as well as similar network analyzer packages.
  • Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills; ability to work in fast-paced
      environment under pressure.
  • Excellent communication/ organizational/ customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with peers and management while also
      providing direction and technical leadership to others.
